Lived in Norfolk, Virginia for six years. Mom was a battered wife, had to live in battered women’s shelters and various other out reach organizations. Began using hip hop as a way to cope with what he was going through. Early on his mother had planted the seed of Jesus Christ in his life. He would make him go to church despite everything that was going on. “Through everything, I had a praying mom,” say Nazawrath.
When he grew up, his past experiences almost ruined his relationship with the love of his life. Drugs were taking over their lives, infidelity.
His whole life changed dramatically once he answered the call to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. His relationship with Christ has taught him how to recognize and deal with the trials that happen in life. “Through every storm, there is sunshine at the end,” says Nazawrath.
The purpose of the music he makes is to share his testimony in order to reach anyone who is going through what he went through. His message is that no matter how what bad things have happened in your life, Jesus is the answer to helping you move forward and fulfilling the destiny that God has for your life. His lyrics promote triumph over adversity. He also wants to encourage praise and worship. Nazawrath loves to dance and praise. He wants to let everyone that once you accept Jesus, the real dancing begins. He also acknowledges the importance of laughter and he incorporates humor into his lyrics. Not only is his music to enjoy, it will show that the light of Christ can bring you out of darkness. Put your trust in God and he’ll bring you through.
His advice to anyone who has just accepted Christ is to prepare yourself for the battle and keep fighting knowing that you will have victory. Satan will make every attempt to keep you from serving God, but you have to remember that God has a purpose for you. Being a Christian is the toughest job in the world but the rewards are far greater that any worldly possession.
