community service. One such mural was given the Neighborhood Beautification Award for its original design and artwork. He serves as Art Director for a non-profit organization called Family Fiesta, Inc. where he teaches young taggers how to use their talents productively.
Moodie visits schools to talk to kids about staying away from the negativity of this world and the dangers of graffiti and offers ways to use their talents in constructive ways. He has become a much sought after motivational speaker and reminds his audience of the desperate need to provide positive influences to students. Students of all ages relate to him instantly, parents ask for his advice and administrators call on him. Moodie is a role model that walks the walk and talks the talk. He's the real thing.
In addition to his work with Family Fiesta, he also owns a company called Chicano Artworks, which is an airbrushed art and graphic studio. He offers mentoring and internships to students serious about making a change in their lifestyles and behaviors. He also illustrates a line of Inspirational Greeting Cards produced by Chicano Artworks for the purpose of raising funds to support the on-going violence prevention and intervention programs of Family Fiesta. Moodies eye-catching and award-winning artwork can be seen on show cars, motorcycles, business walls, clothing and custom items. His portraits are truly realistic and there seems to be no end to his God-given artistic talents. He was selected as one of the commissioned artists to paint for The Cow Parade fundraiser conducted by The American Cancer Society. His work received media recognition and he helped raise several thousand dollars for this worthy cause.
Moodie has traveled with Capone and The Untouchables on their positive rap and hip-hop tour throughout Texas, California and the mid-west. He participates in the school presentations for The Local Hero Program. He serves as back-up rapper for Capone and as motivational speaker wherever they go. He is a recurring speaker at The P.E.A.C.E. Conference every year. Once you hear him speak, youll have no doubt of the commitment and passion he has to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth.
